Akron sophomore Rachel Tecca was named to the Capital One Academic All-District Third Team for District 4, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The list recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the floor and in the classroom. This is the first such honor for the Tallmadge, Ohio native, who carries a 3.90 GPA in Corporate Financial Management.Tecca becomes the first women's basketball player in program history to earn this distinction.
