Former Akron women's basketball student-athletes made their way back to campus this past Friday and Saturday to participate in the annual Alumnae Weekend.The weekend was highlighted by the always competitive alumnae game, an 81-67 Akron win over Western Michigan, and former great Cheryl Bowles's induction into the UA Sports Hall of Fame.
The ever competitive Alumni Game was a treat. After leading 34-29 at half time, the blue team (aka "the oldies") held on to take a 62-58 win.
We were so glad that our alumni got to reconnect and cheer the Zips on to victory!
